LLOYD’S CEO NEAL PAID £1.6M IN 2019

Lloyd’s chief executive John Neal received £1.59m ($1.98m) in salary and benefits for 2019, twice as much as any other member of the corporation. Neal received a basic salary of £650,000, a £600,000 annual bonus and £344,000 in pension and other benefits. The figure is higher than that received by Inga Beale, Neal’s predecessor in the post, in any of her five years in the job, but it is less than that received by Richard Ward, who left in 2013, having received a salary for that year of £1.8m. Beale, who stepped down as chief executive in 2018, received total remuneration of £1.3m for 2018 and a £405,000 payout for 2019. Beale but continued to be paid during her contractual notice period which ran into the following year.
