BROWN & BROWN ACQUIRES RLA INSURANCE INTERMEDIARIES

US broking group Brown & Brown, through its Peachtree Special Risk Brokers unit, has acquired the assets of RLA Insurance Intermediaries, a Massachusetts-based wholesale broker that provides professional, property/casualty and healthcare lines through retail agents across the US. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Jeff Hays and his team will continue to operate out of their offices in Boston; West Palm Beach, Florida; Brentwood, Tennessee; Potomac Falls, Virginia; and Manassas, Virginia as a stand-alone operation within Brown & Brown’s wholesale broking segment.
