Call for better e-scooter safety data collection and analysis

The European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) has called for more and better data collection and analysis on the safety of e-scooters, particularly in relation to their safety in comparison to cycling. The ETSC said it is concerned about evidence of higher numbers of severe injuries among e-scooter riders compared to cyclists.
