SFO secures sixth DPA

On 20 December 2019 reporting restrictions were lifted inrespect of a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) [1] agreed between the UK SeriousFraud Office (SFO) and Guralp Systems Ltd (GSL), write Susannah Cogman, DanHudson and Brian Spiro of Herbert Smith Freehills. Under the DPA,which was approved in October 2019, GSL agreed to disgorge relevant profit of UK£2,069,861in relation to charges of conspiracy to make corrupt payments and failure toprevent bribery by its employees, both in respect of South Korean business.
