HUB ACQUIRES SILVERSTONE GROUP IN NEBRASKA

North American broking group Hub International has acquired SilverStone Group, the Nebraska-based broker providing insurance and surety, risk management, employee benefit services, retirement plans, wealth management and estate planning services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. With the acquisition, Hub is creating a new regional hub to be called Hub Great Plains, which will include existing operations in Omaha, Nebraska; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and St Paul, Minnesota. SilverStone is one of the largest brokers in the US and the largest in Nebraska, serving more than 4,600 businesses and 3,700 individual clients around the world.
