WILLIS TOWERS WATSON GROWS AT FASTER PACE THAN RIVALS IN Q3

Willis Towers Watson completed a successful third quarter for the three major broking firms by reporting 6% organic growth for the three-month period. At group level, this was ahead of the 5% growth reported by both Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) and Aon for the quarter. But underlying growth in its reinsurance operations was lower than that of both Aon Reinsurance Solutions and MMC’s reinsurance unit, Guy Carpenter. Willis Towers Watson said its reinsurance business saw organic growth of 3% in the quarter, compared with 5% at Aon’s reinsurance business and 11% at Guy Carpenter, which has seen the integration of JLT Re over the past year.
