BROWN & BROWN ACQUIRES ROPER INSURANCE IN COLORADO

US broking group Brown & Brown has acquired the assets of Roper Insurance and Financial Services, a Colorado-based provider of employee benefits insurance products and services to small businesses across the state. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Roper Insurance owner Steven Roper and his team will relocate from their current offices in Englewood to Brown & Brown’s Denver office and report to Jason Sartor, executive vice-president of Brown & Brown of Colorado. “The transaction will enable us to continue growing our Colorado footprint, while at the same time providing a platform for the Roper team to offer a greater depth and breadth of insurance products and services to their new and existing customers,” said John Esposito, Brown & Brown’s senior vice-president overseeing several of the group’s western US retail offices.
