JAMES RIVER TO CANCEL MOTOR INSURANCE FOR UBER AFFILIATE

Bermudian re/insurer James River Group is to cancel all policies issued to the Rasier affiliate of the Uber Technologies rideshare company, its single largest customer. The cancellations are to become effective December 31. All Rasier policies are included in James River’s commercial motor line within its excess and surplus lines segment, a majority of which were to have expired next February 29. James River said the account had not met its expectations for profitability.
