WRIGHT NATIONAL FLOOD TEAMS WITH ZURICH TO OFFER FLOOD COVER IN FLORIDA

Wright National Flood Insurance Services and Zurich North America have teamed up to launch the Zurich Private Flood Insurance programme as a stand-alone, admitted product in Florida. Wright and Zurich said the programme is designed to fill a coverage gap that has become increasingly urgent with the increase in frequency and severity of severe weather events. The coverage may be customised much like standard personal lines policies, enabling property owners to tailor coverage to meet their specific needs. “With changing weather patterns and growing storm intensity across the country, the vast majority of homes are potentially at risk and most property owners need to consider the protection provided by flood insurance,” said Zurich North America head of programmes Greg Massey. Wright and Zurich intend to expand the programme to 11 additional states.
