GEORGIA AND THE CAROLINAS AT RISK

Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina are also potentially at risk from the storm, which could also creep along the coastline as it moves northward - a potentially catastrophic scenario from an insured loss perspective. The official forecast track suggests Dorian will remain a major hurricane and move parallel to the coast of Florida into Wednesday and then weaken into a hurricane off the Carolinas later in the week. Any slight shift in the storm’s path could bring it over land during this period.
