Charterparty – Hull cleaning – Vessel spending prolonged stay in port – Owners arranging for hull to be cleaned after redelivery of vessel – Whether hull acquired “excessive marine growth” – Liability for time and expense of hull cleaning

The issue in this arbitration was whether thetime and expense of hull cleaning undertaken by the owners after redelivery but following a lengthy port stay prior to redelivery were recoverable from the charterers.
