US JUDGE ISSUES RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST THREE EXECUTIVES POACHED BY LOCKTON
A federal judge in New York has issued a temporary restraining order against three former Guy Carpenter executives that had
been poached by rival Lockton earlier this year to launch a global reinsurance broking operation. Under the order, requested
by Guy Carpenter, the three executives are barred from soliciting any Guy Carpenter employees or clients they have communicated
with during the last two years and from selling any reinsurance products or services like those offered by Guy Carpenter.
The restrictions apply to Tim Gardner, Guy Carpenter’s former chief executive of North America operations; Claude Yoder, former
managing director and global chief innovation officer and product development officer; and former managing director Nick Durant.
Gardner is now chief executive at Lockton Re, while Yoder and Durant are partners.
