Injunction refused in ongoing adjudication

In Billingford Holdings Ltd & BFL Trade Ltd v SMC Building Solutions Ltd and Nigel Anthony Dight [2019] EWHC 711 (TCC) Fraser J held that the claimants were not entitled to an injunction to restrain the continuance of an adjudication, to which the first defendant was a party and of which the second party was the adjudicator. While the court has an exceptional jurisdiction to grant an injunction to restrain an ongoing adjudication there was held to be nothing exceptional about the present case which justified such an intervention by the court.
