RFIB SALE MOVES FORWARD AS BIDS SUBMITTED

The sale of wholesale broker RFIB is set to move to the next stage. Insurance Day understands indicative bids are being submitted for the Calera Capital-owned broking firm and sister business, Limehouse Agencies, a managing general agency. US financial services firm BGC Partners, which completed its acquisition of Ed Broking last month, is seen as a likely bidder. US wholesaler AmWins, which owns Lloyd’s broker THB Group, is also thought to be interested in the firm. Acrisure, the US retail broker that acquired re/insurance and specialty inter¬mediary Beach Associates last year, might be tempted. Listed US broker Brown & Brown has also been linked as a possible buyer.
