HDI GLOBAL SPECIALTY ACQUIRES NEON BLOODSTOCK TEAM

HDI Global Specialty has acquired Neon Underwriting’s bloodstock team. The team, led by market veteran Mark Edwards, is seen as one of the bloodstock leaders in the Lloyd’s and London markets, writing a global book, notably in the UK, US, France, Australia and Canada. Edwards, who has been in bloodstock for more than 30 years, joined Lloyd’s insurer Neon in 2008. Before that he was managing director of Heath Lambert’s bloodstock division. Neon was forced to exit the bloodstock market as part of Lloyd’s business planning process for 2019. HDI Global Specialty said the team was “an excellent addition to our specialty lines business”.
