ZURICH NORTH AMERICA ACQUIRES SEA PINE TECHNOLOGIES

Zurich North America has expanded its US automotive finance & insurance (F&I) capabilities by acquiring Sea Pine Technologies, a developer of innovative digital applications for the marketing of vehicle protection products. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition comes months after Zurich collaborated with Sea Pine on a pilot programme with car dealers to test the Sea Pine digital application. Zurich said Sea Pine’s technology, combined with Zurich existing F&I system and longstanding experience with auto dealers, will generate a significant increase in F&I product sales through additional channels. Vince Santivasi, Zurich North America’s head of direct markets, has been named president of the Sea Pines board.
