More details published on state-backed indemnity scheme for GPs

The Department of Health and Social Care has published a number of FAQs on the state-backed indemnity scheme for GPs which is due to be introduced from April 2019. The Department said the final details of the scheme remain subject to ongoing discussions with partners including GP bodies, medical defence organisations (MDOs) and commercial insurers. The scheme will be administered by NHS Resolution on behalf of the Secretary of State.
