VERISK OFFERS AERIAL IMAGERY OF MAJOR LOSS EVENTS

Verisk’s Geomni geographic data unit is partnering with drone operations company DroneBase to expand post-catastrophe property inspections and provide high-resolution aerial imagery to insurers and widely used insurance applications like Verisk’s own Xactimate. Under the strategic alliance, Los Angeles-based DroneBase’s vast pilot network will work with Geomni’s fleet of fixed-wing aircraft. Geomni’s customers may order roof or property data packages that will include up-to-date aerial imagery. Upon ordering a Geomni inspection, DroneBase is alerted and a local pilot trained to capture aerial imagery for insurance purposes is deployed. DroneBase operates in all 50 US states and 70 countries.
