MARKEL STRENGTHENS SURETY AND POLITICAL RISK TEAM IN LONDON

Markel has promoted Simon Philpin to the expanded the role of senior underwriter for Markel International’s trade credit, political risk and surety business, which was launched early in 2017. In the expanded role Philpin will manage new business development for the trade credit operation across the UK and Europe. The surety team has also been further strengthened with the appointment of Victoria Northedge as assistant underwriter, supporting Damian Manning, head of surety and David Chandler, senior underwriter.
