Wage talks


The International Transport Workers Federation and Nautilus International has told the International Labour Organization that the time has come for a significant rise in the global minimum wage for seafarers – the only internationally-agreed pay floor applied to an entire industry. The ILO Joint Maritime Commission is responsible for setting this minimum wage – currently the equivalent of approximately £440 per month.
