Shipping is enjoying a new wave of "fast-paced conservatism"

The shipping industry is going through an exciting and unique period of "fast-paced conservatism" in embracing new technologies, says Asad Salameh, of World-Link Communications

With digitalisation sweeping across the industry and new technologies constantly being deployed, key players in the industry are now acting fast to embrace the changes at a pace that has never been witnessed before. The industry in general is a very conservative industry and there are always those who would lead in deploying technology. It could be said we are seeing a fast-paced conservatism in the industry today, which is something new to the industry and something we have not witnessed before.
