PLYMOUTH ROCK NAMES BOYD AS HEAD OF ITS INDEPENDENT AGENCY GROUP

US personal and commercial motor and home insurance group Plymouth Rock Assurance has named Mary Boyd as president and chief executive of its Independent Agency Group, with effect from August 6. She will succeed Chris Ollie, who will assist with the transition in advance of his retirement. In the post, Boyd will focus on the growth of its business through independent agents in the group’s six state markets, with a particular emphasis on New York and Pennsylvania. She joins from Hartford Insurance, where she held multiple senior executive positions, most recently as head of its personal lines agency and direct channels.
