FIDELIS REBRANDS SURETY MGA

Fidelis Insurance has rebranded its managing general agency (MGA) Firestone Surety to Oakside Surety. Oakside, which is managed on the Bermuda-based group’s Pine Walk Capital platform, is focused on the small and medium-sized enterprises sector of the surety market. It is run by Andy Ray, who formed the surety broking division of broker Kerry London. Fidelis said the original name “was a working title used in the formation of the business. The new name, Oakside, has been chosen as the MGA’s permanent identity”. Pine Walk Capital was launched in November with the aim of sponsoring specialist underwriting products.
