AXIS RE SEEKS 'LEADERSHIP POSITION' WITH ORGANISATIONAL OVERHAUL

Axis Re has introduced a new organisational model as it looks to increase client satisfaction and achieve profitable growth. The overhaul – the first major strategic move by Axis Re’s new chief executive, Steve Arora – will see the reinsurance arm of Axis Capital expand its range of products and markets and implement a “consultative client engagement model”. This will include broadening its capabilities in structured reinsurance and specialty reinsurance, in addition to growing its presence in Asia. It will also launch a “strategic partners” unit to provide “tailored solutions” to clients. Axis Re said the changes would “deliver both relevance and differentiation” in the global reinsurance marketplace.
