There has been a great deal of debate recently as to whether issues as wide ranging as blockchain, the Maersk NotPetya attack and the GPS spoofing incident in the Black Sea herald an evolution or revolution in the maritime sector. Certainly, we are living in a time of increased and swift evolution but the results are going to be revolutionary and create a whole new playing field and wealth of opportunity, for both those involved in the traditional areas of the sector and also in areas that have not traditionally been associated with maritime trade.
