CHUBB SWOOPS ON HISCOX FOR SENIOR UNDERWRITER

Chubb has appointed Benjamin Rowley senior underwriter, financial lines within its global markets business. Rowley was previously with Hiscox, where he underwrote errors and omissions (E&O) business on behalf of syndicate 33 for 18 years, ending up as head of healthcare within the casualty division. Matthew Shaw, division president for Chubb Global Markets, said: “[Rowley] brings with him a wealth of underwriting experience and has a deep knowledge and understanding of some highly specialised areas, particularly medical malpractice.” Rowley will report to Trevor Ormes, underwriting manager of Chubb’s financial lines business.
