Deaths of pregnant women could be prevented with better care

Up to two in five deaths of pregnant women could be prevented with better care according to new research. The researchers examined 124 deaths of women who died in pregnancy or up to six weeks afterwards between 2013 and 2015 and found that, if they had received better quality care, 41 per cent may have been prevented.
