Chapter 3 described the infrastructure of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) (including mediation, med-arb and adjudication) in Hong Kong, Singapore and Mainland China. This chapter will examine how mediation, med-arb and adjudication can and do support international commercial arbitration in Hong Kong and make the latter more effective as an expeditious and cost-effective means of resolving cross-border disputes.
