Get the most from video surveillance data

There has been a major shift in recent years in how organisations approach their strategies when it comes to video surveillance. This is in part down to advancements in camera technology, meaning higher resolutions can be captured, resulting in clearer images, but also because, if approached correctly, video surveillance can bring about business and operational benefits. As video surveillance expands its focus from purely detection to prevention, one of the key challenges is delivering a suitable infrastructure to be able to store, manage and extract maximum value out of the data being captured, particularly with more advanced analytics and increasing retention times.
