TTT v Kingston Hospital NHS Trust (QBD) 25 November 2011
Counsel: For the applicant: Mr GeeFor the respondent: Miss NealeSolicitors: For the applicant: Kingsley NapleyFor the respondent: Capsticks
This was an application, on behalf of T by his father and litigation friend, for an interim payment in his claim for damages
arising from clinical negligence. T, who was six years old, was suffering from spastic quadriplegia, mental retardation and
behavioural difficulties. Liability had been admitted by the defendant Trust, and interim payments of £300,000 and £800,000
had already been made. The second interim payment had enabled T’s parents to purchase suitable accommodation for him, and
they had sold their house and moved to rented accommodation while searching for an appropriate property to purchase.
