This was an appeal against a decision of a High Court judge dismissing a claim for damages for personal injury. The appellant,
who was a very highly skilled and experienced racing driver of historic racing cars, was injured when the car he was driving
in a race at the Goodwood racing circuit touched the kerb and hit a tyre wall. The first respondent had organised the race
meeting, and the second respondent had a contract with Goodwood to produce outside broadcasts for the meeting. It had used
“kerb cams” for some of the filming.
