Quantum in clinical negligence claims

XYZ v Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust [2011] EWHC 243 (QB)

In this case, the court was required to decide the outstanding issues of quantum as negligence had been admitted. The claimant, X had donated a kidney to his father but the operation was carried out negligently, and he suffered renal failure and further complications. He was left with continuing significant physical and psychological problems.
