It’s been an interesting couple of years for the general maritime industry in APAC. The Asia-Pacific region is a critical nexus for shipping and commercial maritime trade. As such it has traditionally presented a prosperous market for those who provide services to shipping operators: for example, providers of satellite communication systems, allowing ships to connect their on-board IT systems to land-bound systems, and communicate with the wider world.
