UNIPOL REORGANISES INSURANCE BUSINESS

Italian banking and insurance group Unipol has announced plans to restructure its insurance operations as it implements an integrated multichannel offering model. The restructuring will see the entire insurance business of Unipol Gruppo come under the control of its main insurance subsidiary UnipolSai Assicurazioni. To this end, Unipol Gruppo S.p.A is to transfer its health insurance business Unisalute and direct motor insurer Compagnia Assicuratrice Linear to UnipolSai, and potentially its 63% stake in Arca Vita. The transfer of the business units is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
