EQUITABLE LIFE MAY ESTABLISH DUBLIN SUBSIDIARY

UK life and pensions insurer Equitable Life is considering setting up an EU subsidiary in Dublin as it looks at ways to service European customers after Brexit. Equitable has been closed to new business since it near collapse in 2000, but has a number of existing policyholders in Ireland and Germany. The insurer has yet to make a final decision although Dublin is believed to be its favoured option, although it intends to only employ a small number of staff in the Irish capital.
