£25,000 in damages for chronic whiplash
A passenger injured in a car accident while working in Germany has been awarded £25,000 in damages for chronic whiplash. He
was taking part in a Mercedes-Benz demonstration day in Germany when, as a passenger in one of the cars, his driver lost control,
crashing into a tree, and he suffered a chronic whiplash injury. Whilst initially he assumed his symptoms would abate, three
years later he was unable to pursue his dream of joining the Metropolitan Police as he failed the physical test due to the
ongoing treatment he was receiving to his neck, back and shoulder. A claim was brought and a settlement was negotiated with
the German insurers.
