Number of HSE inspectors down by quarter since 2010
Since 2010 there has been a 25 per cent reduction in the number of Health and Safety Executive (HSE) inspectors, according
to figures obtained by Unite, via a Freedom of Information request. At the end of 2016 there were 980 frontline inspectors,
compared to 1,311 frontline inspectors in 2010.
