After two months in office, US President Donald Trump has yet to announce a clear policy regarding issues of importance to the maritime industry, such as the continued viability of the Jones Act in the face of recent proposals calling for a repeal of the controversial US cabotage law, enforcement of US cargo preference laws and the recent lifting of the ban on US oil exports.
