Rapid Resolution and Redress scheme proposed for birth injuries


The government plans to introduce a Rapid Resolution and Redress (RRR) scheme – a voluntary administrative compensation scheme for families affected by severe avoidable birth injury, and the Department of Health (DoH) has launched a consultation looking at how the scheme is administered, the eligibility threshold for compensation, and how learning would best be shared and acted on to reduce future harm.
