FROMENT NAMED DIRECTOR OF OHIO DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE

Ohio Governor John Kasich has named Jillian Froment as the director of the state Department of Insurance with immediate effect. Froment has served as deputy director since 2011 and has actively represented the state in the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. She succeeds Mary Taylor, who has served as both lieutenant governor and insurance director since the beginning of the Kasich administration in 2011. Taylor will remain as lieutenant governor. “Jillian has worked closely with Mary since the beginning of the administration and has a deep knowledge of the insurance industry and the department,” Kasich said. “I am confident that she will be able to continue Mary’s record of steady, professional management.”
