New captive
China Cosco Shipping Group has formally launched a captive insurance company, with a registered capital of Yuan2 billion (US$291.3
million). Cosco Shipping Captive Insurance will provide coverage ranging from fleet and cargo, to civil responsibility and
property insurances for all member units of the state-owned giant, which includes 1,114 vessels.
