Amount of brokerage

In the September 2005 issue of Insurance Law Monthly there was discussion of the decision of Aikens J in Absalom (representing Syndicate 957 at Lloyd’s) v TCRU Ltd [2005] EWHC 1090 (Comm) (Insurance Law Monthly (Volume 17: September (pp9–11))), on the question of the amount of brokerage due to brokers. That decision has now been appealed to the Court of Appeal, [2005] EWCA Civ 1586 (forthcoming in [2006] Lloyd’s Rep IR), and has been upheld.
