Arithmetical error not an obstacle to enforcement of adjudication decision

Amey Wye Valley Ltd v The County of Herefordshire District Council [2016] EWHC 2368 (TCC), 3 October 2016

Amey was engaged by the Council to repair and maintain highways and roads in Herefordshire under a Service Delivery Agreement (SDA). There were two adjudications between the parties concerning adjustments for inflation under the SDA for sums paid for the works. The first adjudication determined what the price increase mechanism, set out in a letter dated 21 July 2005, actually meant. The second adjudication had to decide the financial effect of the price increase mechanism.
