The second of the cases concerning the ascertainment of the terms of an insurance agreement is Great North Eastern Railway v Avon Insurance plc , July 2000. Here, the question was whether a change of placing brokers prior to renewal, followed by an exchange of communications between the insurers and the new brokers, had brought about a change in the agreed terms.
