The
defendant was the disponent owner of the vessel
Aqasia. The claimants were the shippers and the insurers of a cargo
of 2,000 tons of fishoil in bulk carried at a lump sum freight. The contract of
carriage was contained in and/or evidenced by a charterparty which incorporated
the 1924 Hague Rules.
