AIG NAMES TAMASSIA AS CHIEF ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT
Global insurer AIG has named Hugh Tamassia as chief enterprise architect to oversee the design of architecture to drive the
group’s IT priorities and company-wide strategic plan. He will report to Philip Fasano, executive vice-president and chief
information officer. Tamassia joins from JPMorgan Chase, where he held senior technology positions for 13 years, most recently
as chief technology officer for consumer and community banking servicing technology. “Modernising AIG’s technological infrastructure
by establishing a consistent architecture across the company will advance our employees’ capabilities to serve customers and
represent progress toward becoming a leaner, more profitable and focused insurer,” said Fasano. “Hugh is strongly suited to
deliver on this task with an eye on long-term innovation.”
