‘THE MILLENNIUM TIME BOMB’

The so called ‘millennium time bomb’, the inability of computers to distinguish between this century and the next, has attracted extensive publicity. Despite this, a number of recent articles have indicated that complacency regarding this problem remains widespread, particularly in Europe. This complacency has been noticeably prevalent amongst building contractors, who have, to date, been largely dismissive of this risk, since they do not regard themselves as conventional suppliers of IT systems.
