Kennedys/Waltons & Morse Merger planned

Law firm Kennedys and boutique marine and shipping law firm Waltons & Morse are to merge, effective 1 November 2016. Waltons & Morse’s 28-strong team, including five partners, one consultant and 13 other legal staff, will considerably strengthen Kennedys’ existing capabilities and introduce new capabilities in marine and shipping work in London. The merged firms will create a £150 million turnover business. Waltons & Morse’s managing partner, Chris Dunn, will head up the new international marine team to be known as Kennedys Marine and will join the firm’s board. Kennedys Marine will comprise 30 experts across the UK, Ireland, Singapore, Australia and the Americas, including 12 partners.
