Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) (Hong Kong) (Amendment) Order 1979.
(SI 1707). The Order also amends the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) (Hong Kong) Order 1965, by which the provisions of the Merchant Shipping Act 1964 (which gave effect to the Safety Convention of 1960) were extended to the colony. The amendments take into account the entry into force for Hong Kong of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974, which replaces the 1960 Convention.
