ENDURANCE NAMES SPARRO AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF US INSURANCE

Bermudian insurer and reinsurer Endurance Specialty Holdings has named Christopher Sparro as group executive vice-president and chief executive of its US insurance operations, with effect from September 12. Sparro will oversee growth of the group’s US product portfolio, which currently includes a broad range of professional, casualty, property and specialty offerings. He will be based in New York and report to Jack Kuhn, Endurance’s chief executive of global insurance. Sparro joins from AIG, where he served for 26 years, most recently as president of financial lines for the Americas, overseeing the building of an extensive network of wholesale and retail distribution partners across the US.
